I have two approximately 5-yard bolts of Provencal fabric. The more I research them, the more I feel lost. Here is one of them:

https://imgur.com/MYEhj0xThese are the care instructions which I think mean (1) Machine wash at 60 degrees Celcius (2) no chlorine bleach (3) use a hot iron (like cotton setting I presume) (4) dry clean using petroleum solvents

At present my plan is to list this with the following title:
VTG Provencal Medium Weight Cotton Fabric BELDECOR Large Piece 48″ x 5 Yards Made in France
Price: 128.50 + shipping with make offer (expect ~$80)My questions: How do you tell if this is upholstery fabric or curtain fabric or tablecloth fabric? It is printed on one side, feels like cotton, not as heavy as blue jeans. I measured from printed edge to printed edge to get 48″ width (selvages excluded). I will measure the actual length before listing, but for now, there is a “5Y” written on an edge and I am going with that.With regard to pricing, I did not find much help on Worthpoint or Terapeak. I would call it upholstery fabric and not worry about categorizing it further than that. You can include your description of it not being as heavy as blue jeans. Also include Mirelle in the title – I assume that’s the name of that fabric design. Check to see if there is any fading along the fold. In your description say that it’s a single continuous piece – unless you have multiple pieces or want to sell it by the yard. Knowing it’s a continuous piece will be helpful for someone who is looking for fabric for a large project.
I’m looking at the other listings from France and the words they use don’t make sense to me as an English speaker who knows a bit about fabric, I would guess there is something lost in translation.

You could say decor or decorator fabric instead of upholstery. That’s how I would describe it. This looks like nice, quality fabric. You should do well with it.
Sometimes with fabric I take a photo to try to give the buyer an idea about its drape. Especially if it is apparel fabric. Thanks again for your help. I measured the full length of fabric and it was north of 15 yards. I decided to sell this fabric by the yard instead of as a single piece. I also have a second piece of fabric that is identical to this one but green. I did not bother measuring the second one, as it weighs nearly 2x much as the first. I listed 20 yards available BTY, and I will measure it if it gets close to the end. Here are my listings:

Both of these fabrics are very nice and are sure to sell well. I think that the listings are nicely done. The only comment I have is that the price that comes up is $5, and, unless you select a yard, you don’t realize that the price is for a sample only. I wonder if there is a way to get the $22.50 price for a yard to come up first?

Thanks Sharyn. I see what you mean. If you follow my link above, the price displayed is for the sample, not the BTY price. When my items are displayed in search though, the price range of $5.00 to $22.50 is displayed:
I did look at the order of my variations to see if I could get the higher price to display on the item page, but it seems to be defaulted to show the lowest price. I looked at other fabric listings that have this same variation, and it was the same on theirs as well. Thanks so much for taking a look.
