Thanks Almasty & Mike!
I do commissions for a friend of the family, and I’m currently going through his late wife’s jewelry. Most of it is sterling, and the prices and brands have been pretty easy to research. However, when I saw one stamped “14K PJS”, I figured I needed to do a bit more research. Except for the Worthpoint one, I only found ones for sale. Asking prices are $400 & $150. For a $400 price, I’d consider getting an appraisal, but, for less than $200, I’ll test with my home kit and assume the one I have also has a Tahitian pearl and several small diamonds.

Thanks! I think that gold & silver is worth more these days, but I’ll need to reduce the price I listed it at.

Hello,
Can someone help me with this. Short story = Back in Dec 2019, bought $3 hardsided Samsonite vtg suitcase, had 287 patches inside. I’ve auction listed about 30 and it’s going bananas. This patch in particular,
https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/extremely-lasd-sheriffs-rifle-1866503143
which I start bid at 9.99 is over 280… I’m just curious if I should had researched it more. I only researched the Boy Scout and Military ones.. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks-

Well, mine didn’t sell for that much; a respectable $587.77. The Boy Scout patches ranged from $60 to $511. Not all sold, but not bad. 🙂-

Thanks Amatino.
I can’t believe it. My auction closes on May 7th, 3 years +1 day to the date.. I still can’t believe it. I did find another one on worthpoint
https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/1950s-obsolete-los-angeles-co-ca-532714267
that sold on June 9, 2014 but thought not to ask about that one because it was older. I wouldn’t mind knowing how much that one sold for if you wouldn’t mind? -
