I saw your boots come up and thought for a second “there’s something about them that looks a little strange…” then your hand came in the frame and “Whoa!” Also funny to watch Midge thinking “can I get in there and get a bite or will I get chomped?”
I’m headed out of town for a couple days so my what-sold post will have to wait. Maybe putting my store on extended handling time will trigger a bunch of sales like it did this past summer.
That is a pretty chill dog to let kitty sniff around his food bowl. My dog gets VERY concerned when one of the cats shows interest in his bowl. He whines and looks to me for help even though he’s 5 times their size.
I’ve been on a listing frenzy lately but all of my sales have been basic bread and butter items. No “large” sales except some Giles & Brother drawer handles. I sold 13 for $156 total, which was a little over twice what I had into them.
I went to a cosmetics hoarder’s estate sale last weekend: Gucci, Dior, you name it. Most of it had been used once or twice so I couldn’t buy any of it for resale but I did get 4 sealed bottles of Wen shampoo which sold within a day for $21/bottle.
Another slow week for me, but here’s two. Both are clothing items.
I was given a vintage Members Only leather jacket to sell. I found that solds were in the $50 to $70 range, but mine was in really good condition. I set it at $80 and refused to make any offers to watchers. Then, I started a 25% clothing sale and forgot to exclude it. Oh well. Sold for $60 to someone in Hong Kong. http://www.ebay.com/itm/183932336063
I bought this NWT men’s jacket at an auction where each piece came to about $1. Sold for $29 (also on sale). http://www.ebay.com/itm/183758485161
I was travelling for two weeks until the end of last week, so my sales have been a little slow (feel slow now still). I bought it knowing nothing about it, but the field criteria of “it’s technical and heavier than expected”. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192857405798 It is a refractometer that is used to test sugar content in fruit juice and it sold for full price in a couple months.
I got this two volume set of books on Marble Colorado. My experience is that published items like this (small town history) often had a very small circulation when initially published and today command a hgh price because they are infrequently available. These volumes sold for full price about a month after listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193060362352
My sister-in-law told me about silverware, so I had my eye out when this complete set showed up at my local thrift store. https://www.ebay.com/itm/193033887765 I snatched them up for $25 and sold full price for $275. Also, USPS Regional A Box was a score on shipping these.
