That vintage Christmas decorations set is pretty fun. So strange when Christmas things sell this time of year!
I haven’t posted for a couple weeks, so here is a little bit of catch-up!What Sold on Ebay and Etsy June 5-7 2019

Christmas and winter stuff sell all year round. I recall selling some fireplace andirons about a month ago.
A few interesting sales from the past week:
Such a mundane thing like a NOS card file holder can bring in $21. I paid pennies.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183593697650I bought this oil painting in a live auction for $5.75. I didn’t realize that it was damaged until I looked at it closer, but the artist is somewhat known and the subject is a harness racing horse that set world records in the 70s. With that info, I was able to get $89 for it using make offer to watchers. It was purchased by someone in California, and, with the shipping discount, I made another $10 or so.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183846010293The buyer was happy with the painting and bought a set of silver plate flatware that I am shipping out today. I paid $7, and it sold for $37.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183796324827Fish forks are not as plentiful as other flatware, so they sell well when in a set. This set of 12 sold for $19. I paid about $1.

I bought forty pairs of CK underwear for about $5.75 each at my local Costco last December. They had been marked down to make floor space and I just grabbed the whole display. They have not been moving very fast, but I get sales every now and then – which means I have the price about right I think. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192751006886
I bought this for a dollar at a garage sale and sold for $15.75. Unfortunately, I accidentally left the “free shipping” turned on so my ROI is not so great. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192948434876
I pay a dollar or less for remote controls. This one went out the door for $18.50.
If you are wondering how to test them, check out a youtube – anyone with a cell phone can do it.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/192954230059I listed 44 pairs of suspenders last weekend. I paid $50 for a box of 52 pairs. I had to trash some, but still should get a decent return on my investment. This one was my first sale https://www.ebay.com/itm/192959936459
When I find things unique to a place (like this paper weight), I often pick them up. People that lived in one place and moved to another are often nostalgic for that place. Similarly there are local collectors. The audience may be small, but they are usually willing to pay a premium for a unique object. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192856374976
Sunglasses in a thrift store display for $2 and sold for $84.50. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192954223315 One thing to know about Maui Jim is that the company will give lifetime nose guards and temple arms if yours are worn out. I replaced the nose guards on this pair.
I love finding patches. I can usually get them for $1 and sell them for $4 to $20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192951052701
I put collectibles in my store on sale and accidentally sold this beer can holder a little low. (My aim was to mark down prices on vintage photographs). https://www.ebay.com/itm/192921715892
Hope everyone has a great week.

Thank you everyone for posting! I love seeing what people have sold! Sharyn, that horse painting was wonderful! I would have bought it if I had seen it! – Liz

Here’s a couple of my interesting items from the past week:
Old Tool battery chargers. They always do very well.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264335676700This is for a Tron Arcade Game. I bought this to restore mine, but never used it. Since then these aren’t made anymore. There was no established market for this, but I knew someone would pay a mint for it. I started the auction at $100 and there was a bidding war. Odds were good that it could have gone up over $200 if I had more time on the auction.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264365335227Ferragamo shoes. Great sale at full price. I find this brand very hit/miss and they take forever to sell.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264182588851Kobe Bryant Nike Shoes. There’s always diamonds in the shoe section. I was hoping to get over $100, but I want sales.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264256670231An old vibrating massage tool. This thing vibrates stupid fast. Sold through GSP so this buyer paid through the nose for it.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264339096039This is a home use silk screen machine. I sat on this one for a year. What a waste of time. Finally got this listed and it sold full price within a day or two. Shipping was only $26 so I did VERY well. Only paid $5 for it.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/264374675766Bose Subwoofer. Another item I sat on for over a year… ugh. Paid like $10 for the sub and some satellite speakers. Sold this within a day. I need to find a box for it this weekend to ship it. This thing is huge and heavy. I actually just picked up another one of these a couple weekends ago. I’ll be listing it soon as well.
