Nice sale on the dart board – I use to play baseball darts all the time as a kid. Good memories! Another thing for me to keep an eye out for. The premium boards by Nodor and other high-end darts manufacturers are always a good find for a few dollars. If you can also find vintage dart flights they sell great as well and are very easy to ship (Europeans like flights with American themes).

Steve – Cute video of feeding your cat a treat. We give our cats treats after they get their teeth brushed. One of them reminds us (loudly) after dinner that it’s time for his teeth brushing. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the snack afterwards.
I’ve mentioned a number of times that friends of my parents give me stuff to sell. Some of it is junk, but some of it is super nice (most of it is right in the middle). One guy gave a bone china Tiffany tray, brand new, in the original box. I knew I had something special, although china stuff from Tiffany isn’t as pricey as some of their other products. I waited until this month to put it on auction. It sold for $124.50.

He traveled to China once and must have really purchased many items that he intended to give as gifts (but never did). He gave me two sets, and both of them sold to different buyers within just a few hours at $18 each.

I hadn’t heard of many of these organizations, but I think most are somehow related to the Masons. DeMolay is a youth program; I guess similar to Boy Scouts, but supported by the Masons. I listed six identical metal awards for $25, and they sold within an hour. I paid $0.25.

I originally set it real high, about $189, with best offer. I got one of those eBay emails that the item was in a cart or had watchers, so I reduced it to $139. It sold at full asking price to someone in the UK. They paid $179 for shipping & fees with GSP! I had it listed as a 70 pound box, but I shipped it to Kentucky in two boxes because I can’t really handle 70 pounds. The GSP can combine them if they want.

The auction vs BIN format has been a topic of discussion numerous times on the forum. One method is to set it at the lowest price you want for an item, and then see if something happens. The other, like the guy in the video, is to set it low and try to get some buzz going.
I was a bit nervous about setting the price of the tray too low. I have been trying to move some older inventory using auctions, and it hasn’t been working too well. But, I knew this would sell. So, I set the minimum bid at $75, which is around the lowest sold price of a similar tray.
What I really liked about this video is his method of getting data. He’ll list an item very high for a week or a month to see what type of interest the item gets, i.e., the number of views and watchers. Then, if he feels real confident in it, he’ll put it at a $0.99 auction and let it rip. I like this idea, and I think I’ll use it (maybe not at $0.99) in the future.
For older items I’m trying to move, I’ll continue to start at the very lowest I’m willing to take.

I actually have 8 or 9 lots of women’s clothing mostly organized by size, but I had to break down some of the sizes into other groups such as color.
I haven’t sold any of them. I received one low ball offer on a lot of 9 Chico’s items for $20. That would be a bit more than $2 an item? I mean, I didn’t pay anything for them, but still. I tried a counter offer, but it didn’t work.

Love to sell this type of vintage item Swedish tree skirt. Paid $4 at my favorite indy thrift xmas boutique. There are a lot of these on Ebay but this one was in perfect condition.
I find a lot of these 1980s and 1990s Brown Bag Cookie Molds. I have had good success with this pan style but not so much with individual molds. I was late listing these so I priced them to move and they did move very quickly. Usually I pay $2-4 per mold whether it’s pan or individual, so I may just stick to the pans going forward and maybe holiday ones.
Took a long time for this studio art pottery to sell. I only paid $4 and this studio art pottery is very common but not popular with pickers here. Seem to be slow sellers though. Took best offer of $50.
Most of the other items that sold I have posted about before. And a dud this mini floral painting. Paid 1.99 I love to pick up small original paintings, but orange ones just don’t seem to sell well. Florals are pretty common too. Yeah! someone finally bought it.

Sold plenty of lower dollar items last week that aren’t really worth sharing; everyone knows how to source and sell those!
Here are some of the highlights, starting with ye olde pickle castor. Picked it up at an estate sale in a nearby city for $30. Came with a non-original, ill fitting glass jar that I sold separately. This lot of fur collars and stole have been listed fur-ever. Picked them up at an auction about 2 years ago – $4? Obviously, it was the excellent photography that really moved them, lol. Should have re-taken photos with my new kit and modeled some of the collars to show their shape and hang better.
