From listing:
“If you’re not experienced in the paranormal, then look to buy elsewhere. I am not looking to sell to people who have no business getting involved in something they know nothing about. Not trying to sound harsh, just a warning. Here is another dybbuk box which I bought from an elderly man in South Carolina. I have been keeping these in the crawl space of my house, mostly because that’s just how large my collection has grown. Many of these have burns on them and some of them seem to have something inside. But as I have always stated, I never ever open them.
Since keeping them in the crawl space, I have heard what sounds like something moving quickly under my house. I hear it at 3 am on the dot every other night, like clockwork. Also when I check on them there is a cool heavy air surrounding them, even in July. My dog often growls at crawlspace when she passes. And less often, but still odd, I hear a knocking and children’s whispers coming from down there, which is alarming.
Buy at your own risk and again DO NOT OPEN THE BOX! I cannot stress this enough. I am not responsible for its misuse.”

I did see this article and was going to post it here (I guess I forgot). People are making up stories, selling items as haunted, and getting a much higher price.
I did sell a “scary looking doll” once that was just an older doll that had significant wear due to age. It sold quickly when I can barely sell dolls that are in good condition.
So, yeh, certain stuff can sell high when you make up stories or they look scary or haunted. This article is pretty funny, though, in the stuff they bought and the things the seller said about them. I don’t think I finished it.

Hahahahaha! I know a bunch of old men in South Carolina who would be happy to tell you whatever you want to hear if it means you’ll buy their stuff.

we’ve been sitting on this guy for months. It stares at me whenever I go in the ebay room. I’m convinced it is haunted. Maybe I should update the listing lol.

You can certainly add creepy and similar words to the title – people do look for that sort of thing, even if you don’t want to say it is haunted.
I don’t know if you are interested in any advice, but there has been talk on the forum that symbols can prevent your item from appearing in search results. What I’ve read is that the first five or so words in the beginning of your title is collected by the search engine. Any words after a symbol are cut off. So, starting your title with 25″ might not be such a good idea. Also, you might want to move the (?) to later or use the word “unsure” if you have the room.
Just some thoughts and ideas. Last month, I changed Cabela’s to Cabelas in one of my titles, and the item sold later that day!

I think most ppl know they are buying an “idea” or concept along w/ the item – a chance for a spooky encounter. Now, if they want a return – that’s another story

I’m proud of you for sharing your #metoo moment. A little wrong to try and capitalize off of it monetarily though, don’t you think? 😉

MyCottage, awesome!!!
I was thinking you might add more item specifics and included haunted as a “theme” or “feature”. That might help your item come up on search faster.
Here is my haunted item: https://www.ebay.com/itm/163296098284
