I can’t believe that I was continuous pressing the reload button this morning because I was impatient for Steve’s video! No worries on the timing, it’s just me.

I had a lousy week, so I only have one interesting item to show. This is a vintage keyboard that was given to me to sell. I bothered a friend with working, vintage computer equipment to help me test it. It sold for $40.

Nice bunch of sales last week, and this week is looking to be another good one. Here are some highlights…

Whenever I see older Disney stuff, I’ll scoop it up if the price is low. It seems to always sell regardless of what it is. This Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs porcelain figurine set came out of a box lot of similar collectable stuff. I paid $5 on the whole lot, so this item came to $1.67. It sold after maybe 3 weeks for full price of $40. It was in okay condition with some minor chips in the paint on a few of them. But I made sure to point out every little flaw.

So when I was reorganizing a bit last week, I found some little items that I must have forgotten to list from back when I first got started in the eBay hobby. This little photo booth picture was one of them. I have no idea where I acquired it or how much it may have cost me… probably no more than a dollar out of a box lot. So I listed it and I swear it was one of the fastest sells I think I ever had. Within minutes it had a buyer. I sold it for $10, but I wonder if it was worth more for some reason. Oh well, 10 is more than nothing I guess.

Here’s my high sale of the week. I acquired 24 of these gold-filled eyeglasses from an auction last summer. They were in various conditions. Some were pretty nice while most of them were very worn out. I got the whole lot for $60. My intention was to photograph and list each one individually, but after doing three, I had enough. So I decided to sell them in one big lot for $275. The best offers started coming in immediately after I listed them. But I just sat back and waited until a good deal came to me. Finally, someone offered $260 and I said sure thing! I might have been able to get full price eventually (and maybe even close to double if I would have listed each one individually), but I opted for the quick sale on this one.

I was in my local thrift store browsing the aisles when I spotted this vacuum cleaner hair cutting system. I immediately remember this thing from when I was younger and when the infomercials there were on TV. I never used it myself. So I looked it up on a whim and was shocked that they were selling regularly for around $75. I bought it for $3, took it home and cleaned it out, and listed it high for $90. It sold for a BO of $79. I’ll be keeping my eye out for these from now on.

Here’s a cool brand of outerwear that I haven’t heard of before recently. Schaefer Outfitter. It looks geared toward the rancher/cowboy type. I picked up this jacket in a thrift store for $10. It looked practically unworn. It was a good 2XL size too. I priced it at $90 and it sold for full price. I got a very nice message from the buyer too saying how much he loved it and he was going to recommend my store to all of his rodeo buddies.

1971 North East Nevada Phone Book, paid $1, sold for $24.45

1978 HP Microprocessor Lab Board, this was left over from my old days of doing computer scrap, probably paid a few dollars for this and sold for $150. I had this listed for $100 and since I had it so long I took a best offer of $50 GSP from Switzerland. After a unpaid item case, I re-listed for $150. I turned down a few offers for $30 then somebody else fro Switzerland paid the full price of $150.

This is just an old car light I purchased for $1, sold for $25 (free shipping).

My favorite sale of the month, 1950s Paint by Numbers “Nude with Shaw”. Paid $5 and sold for $90

I picked this vintage game up at a consignment store for $5 and sold for $45 (free shipping).

These are a low price item, but they have been in my pipeline for a while now. I’ve sold over 94 of them so far at around $7.95 a set and still have about 500 left, paid about 20 cents each set. USPS Letter Carrier Patch Set.

It’s mighty quiet here in DC today with the government shut down over 35 mph winds and the threat of a dusting of snow. Sheesh. It would be funny if not for the waste of tax dollars.

This 1933 Chicago World’s Fair Art Deco belt buckle was out of my grandfather’s estate and has been rattling around my junk drawers for many years. World’s Fair stuff appears to be a slow category and this took a while but finally sold for $40 plus shipping.

Thousands of these military Vietnam era TA-1 field telephones have been surplused out over the years so they can still be sourced on occasion for reasonable prices. I bought three of these at a junk shop for $14 each and they’ve each sold for $84 plus shipping. This is the last one I had. They use no batteries or electricity and can be tested for output with a multimeter, or output and input if you have two of them (or something to generate comparable DC voltage) and some wire. Besides the collectors and reenactors they are going to preppers now, too.

I used to love dealing in books but I have sworn off them in general. So many of them are worthless that I’m totally done with going through piles of them to look for the diamond in the rough. But certain niches will continue to be worth looking for, I guess. This was my daughter’s, a college textbook she got at a garage sale for what I’m sure was very little and she had dumped in our Goodwill box. It doesn’t look very fancy and with its liberal arts subject matter I didn’t think it was worth the trouble to check the value, but fortunately I did before it was donated. It sold quickly for $88, free shipping in a priority flat rate padded envelope.

I know little about jewelry so it took me quite a while to find out anything about this Victorian Wax Seal Fob that cost me a buck or two in an auction box lot of random smalls. I didn’t want to spend too much time because it looked so cheaply made that I figured it was not worth much. Well maybe I did not spend enough time on this thing because I priced it at what I thought was high at $29 plus shipping and it sold in two hours.

Ijust bought the exact same Easy Bake oven! Same red color snd box. It is from 1973. Good to know I can get $100 for it. I only paid $6 for it. It appears thst the box really sdds the bulk of yhe value. Most of the ones i sae were going for about $20 without the box.

And here is proof you can sell ANYTHING on eBay! LOL. I bought a walker/glider from a hooking friend for $30 for the hubs, who decided he didn’t like it and tossed it into the scrap metal skip. (Instead of letting me sell it!) A couple months later, I found the two foot pedals and the manual and listed them. He told me I was nuts, nobody would buy them. Well, somebody did, but requested a return as they didn’t fit. Seeing as they were snugly packed, I left them in the package and relisted them. Quickest pack and ship ever!
