Just went to place my first quarter order and noticed something. Ebay is now only offering 7 size boxes. They no longer offer the 18″x14″x12″oversize box. The largest now is: longest 16x12x8=1,536 cubic inches and the 12x12x12=1,728 cubic inches [which BTW is the cut off for sizes that have to go to oversize-dim. weight at 1,728 cubic inches].
So about 1.5 years ago the USPS stopped offering the Larger Reg. size “C” box at 15x12x12=2,160 cubic inches, but we loaded up and stockpile a lot of those but are finally down to only having 5 left in our stock. The next best thing was the Ebay 18x14x12 at 3,024 cubic inches. Now that is gone.
So size wise the two largest box sizes now are the Ebay 12x12x12 at 1.728 CI and the USPS Box #7 12x12x8 at 1,536 CI. Unless I am missing something.
So if you need more than 1,728 CI you will have to start splicing these sizes together to make custom size boxes for your larger items.
Just a heads up.

Can we use $16 of the $25 on one order and then make another order and apply the $9 credit balance?

the Mezz – No, it’s use it all on your shopping cart or lose it. Make sure not to click buy it now. I’ve made that mistake.

We ordered all boxes and email said everything shipped last night and is in transit. Should be here by weekend or Mon. Also placed an order for USPS boxes. We take a quarterly inventory count of shipping supplies and order what we need. we use a spread sheet and keep a min.-max. number on it. When we get at or below the min. amount we want to keep on hand of anything, we automatically order enough to bump us back up to over the maximum level. Have about 60 to 70 items on the spread sheet.
Bet some sellers use tons of boxes and supplies.

I noticed that eBay has limited the boxes they have to offer. Does anyone see 12x12x12 or 10x10x10? These are both my go to size and they are gone.
Thanks

They also have stopped offering the 18″x14″x12″ oversize box. The largest now is: 16x12x8 and the only square offered is 8x8x8.

Within 30 seconds of submitting I got a response from eBay. They have discontinued the 12x12x12 and 10x10x10
Ugh!!
Love those intermediate size boxes. -

Why would they discontinue the 12x12x12?? That is a universally great size. I can see ditching the 10″ cube, but both??

12x12x12 are great for dinner plates which I sell lots of. eBay said the sizes where the least popular. I need to find a new source. eBay went from a great source for boxes to bad overnight. I am going to be hard pressed to spend my coupon. How much tape or mailers can you use? Stickers??? Please
Time to adapt.

If you sell clothes or shoes, then mailers are great. And yes you can go through a TON of them. I bet R&J go through between 200-300 a month in polymailers.

Retro: Yep. That is us too. I buy the 9×12 poly in lots of 500 right now. Lasts about a month and a half.
I wish they would do short flats…

just fyi, if you don’t need your coupon and have enough supplies, while you can’t “share” coupons with other ebayers, you can order what they need and have it sent to their address. so if you have a friend who needs more than you, you can share that way!

P.S. … Is there really such a thing as “too much shipping supplies”? Not in our book. We will take everything we can get. In boxes if we have surplus we cut them up into custom sizes and include in our inventory. We also do the same with the USPS boxes. Cut the USPS Shoe Box in Half all the time. Makes a very handy 7x5x5. I order 25 shoe boxes from the PO and then immediately cut and resize 10 of them into 20 7x5x5. Only takes a few minutes.
We also use a simple “corner crush down” method to splice two of the shoe boxes together to make a 28″ longx7x5 box for longer items.
For newer sellers you can cut, splice and dice any USPS regular priority boxes [EXCEPT Flat ] as long as you also use the “Priority” Rate costing.

I’ve got two stores, and am in pretty good shape for supplies at the moment, so both of my coupons will likely sit unused for a month or two. I use a LOT of their 6x4x4 boxes, and quite a few of their padded mailers. That’s likely what I’ll be ordering more of when the time comes, unless I have a run on items that deplete my supplies of either my 10x8x6 or 8x6x4 boxes in the meantime.

I think I am going to hold on to my coupon for a month or two also. Maybe eBay will have a change of heart!! Worse case I will buy more tape.
I did find a boxes on Amazon from The Boxery 25-12x12x12 for $25 and 25-10x10x10 for $17.50 free shipping (could be because we are Prime). I was paying $23.08 for the 12x12x12 and $19.42 for the 10x10x10. So same price. Only no eBay coupon accepted on Amazon…
