Found this Polo hat at an estate sale on Saturday. I went to the sale because I had seen a bunch of US Open golf hats, and those always sell. I threw those in my bag and started looking at shirts in the closet. I moved some shirts aside and found some hidden hats…including this 1993 Polo Team Cycling hat! My heart skipped a beat!
Went home and washed it and listed it that evening. I listed it for $3500 or best offer, because I was 100% sure the value. I thought $1000 but wasn’t sure. I received an offer of $1000 within minutes and took it! The buyer paid and the hat shipped out.
I think thats the right price. Right before I accepted the offer another ebayer emailed me saying my price was ridiculous and the hat was worth $800. So, anyway, I got more than $800.

Huge congrats! Jackpot!
Its all about the research. Lots of other sellers would have sold it for $20.

Thanks all!
When I first saw it, I thought $250. Then with some research thought $1000, but was still unsure.
The only place I found a picture of the hat was in an interview with a hip hop industry guy. So I went high with make and offer. ?

Thanks for the video link! Love it!
I love selling RL. Before this hat we had sold a star front sweater for $300 and a 1967-1987 small crest sweater for $150. But this hat has been the best by far…so far.
Don’t wear RL myself though. I prefer 1970s JCPenney. 😅

I love finding old RL stuff! I always pick it up. Unfortunately, I have never found anything quite like this, but I have found 3 of the teddy bear items. Two sweatshirt and a pullover fleece. Paid less than $8 for all three (not the same place or time) and sold them for around $300. Seemingly anything RL that is unusual will sell. I have also sold RL puffer ski vests and jackets along with the more modern baseball caps and they all sell quickly and well and you can usually get them very cheap!

Thanks Ryanne for the video. I had no idea the value of RL stuff or what a ‘Lo Head’ was!
