We sold our third piece of furniture on Local Pickup. This LP cabinet cost $5, we sold it for $400. Success!
Hello! from our second week of traveling. We’re now in Boston, MA with Ryanne’s Scavenger family where we’ve been hitting all the estate sales in the fancy neighborhoods. Our store has had it’s highest grossing week in several months thanks to a number of big ticket items. We also had our highest percentage of International sales, 10 out of 11 were global shipping. So that’s about 42% of our sales this week. Crazy! Our experiment with finding and listing more expensive items is paying off.
We’re shipping home three more big boxes of inventory using FedEx Home (100lb for $65!). The items we’ve found have been amazing and will more than pay for the cost of postage. Since we’re on vacation, we share some easily overcome issues when dealing with customers waiting on their items.
Did you know that you can sell “services” on eBay? Repair work, web design, etc.
Interesting article on a guy who is producing a mid-century mail box based on a photo he had. What’s cool is that he bought an original from eBay to base his design on. We love this.
Only one podcast this week since we’re mobile, but we’re home next weekend and should go back to our regular schedule. You might be noticing some changes to the blog soon because of unforeseen circumstances. Nothing bad; all good. We’ll write a post about it when it’s all finished.
